Getting started
You opened the app. Now what?
Most people land here looking for one of two things: a trip to join this weekend, or a way to organize their own. Both start the same way — you sign in, fill in a few profile basics, and open Discover. Ten minutes, less if you already know what you want.
The first ten minutes
- Sign in. Use email + password, Google, Facebook, or Apple. See Account and login for the details and what each option means for your data.
- Fill in your name. That's it for required fields. The rest of your profile (cars, equipment, emergency contact, social links) you can complete whenever it becomes relevant — there's no long onboarding form blocking you.
- Open
Discover. This is the main browsing surface. See Discover for how it sorts and filters. - Open one activity. Tap any card. The activity page shows schedule, meeting point, costs, and how many people are going. See Activity details.
- Bookmark anything that looks interesting. Tap the bookmark icon from the card or the details page. You'll find these later under
Profile > Saved. See Favorites.
By minute ten you should have a sense of what's happening this weekend and a few activities saved.
What kind of user are you, by accident
Terranos doesn't ask you to pick a role at signup. The role you have emerges from what you do:
- Member is everyone with an account. You browse, join, message, declare equipment, ask for transport.
- Organizer is anyone who creates an activity. You don't apply for this — you tap Create activity and you're an organizer for that trip.
- Driver is anyone who offers seats in their car for an activity. Same thing — you publish a transport offer, you're the driver for that trip.
You can be all three on different activities in the same week. Levente, who drives a lot, is also a participant on trips where someone else organizes the car.
A few additional roles exist on the backend (guide, accommodation provider, advertiser) but aren't enabled in the consumer app yet.
What you should fill in early
Not required, but useful before you start joining things:
- Cars — if you might drive others, list your car so it's ready when you offer seats.
- Equipment — your personal inventory of gear. Useful when an activity requires specific equipment, and you can mark items as public so other participants can see what you carry.
- Emergency contact — for activities that mark themselves as higher-risk, this becomes required before you can join.
You can find all four under Profile.
Local demo accounts
If you're running the app against the local dev stack, two seed accounts are available:
user@terranos.club/Password123!admin@terranos.club/Password123!
Don't use these on a production deployment.
When something looks off
The most common first-run issues:
- Sign-in does nothing. Check that the device has internet. The Apple sign-in option only appears on iOS and macOS — that's by design.
Discoveris empty. You may be filtered to a date range that has no activities. Clear filters from the top of the screen.- Profile completion percentage feels stuck. Some fields (like emergency contact) only count once filled — the bar updates as you go.
For anything else, Support.
